A Time My Perspective Changed
When I was in university, I always thought that university is a place to relax. As a result, skipping classes was my daily routine at that time. My friends and I often rode scooters at night to Mt. Ali which spend approximately two hours to get there. Then, we would watch the sunrise and skip classes together the next day. As you can see, my life at university was full of fun. Nothing was related to “study”, and I didn’t even think of my future. However, things changed at the time I met my junior, Justin, on the orientation camp.
He is a self-motivated person and always sets his own goals on everything. At first, I thought he was just another star student that I knew, and we won’t be closed friends in the future. But surprisingly, he kept chatting with me during the orientation camp. The most unexpected thing was that we could chat for a long time without any pause. During our talk, he told me his dream is to have the ability to help people he cares a lot when they need his help. Then, he made lots of plans to achieve his goals. It made me think of what I was doing the entire life at university. After I met him, I started to think about what would I like to do in the future? What kind of life do I want to have? Overall, I consider myself to be a lucky person, and I feel thankful to meet Justin in my life.
