Do you think it is important for leaders to provide an inclusive work environment? My answer is definitely “YES”. There are two situations that you might have or hear before. They are “Glass Ceiling” and “CRPD”. First, “Glass Ceiling”, it is very common to see not only in Asia but also in Western countries. There is an obvious example, Hollywood’s salary. Let’s compare to the actor’s salary and the actress’s salary. Mark Wahlberg was the actor who earned the most in 2017. He earned 68 million dollars. Emma Stone, the actress who earned 26 million dollars in 2017. Her salary was much lower than his. Both of them are very well-known performers, but there is a big gap between their salaries. To be honest, it is really unfair. The other one, “CRPD”, in our country, if there are over sixty-seven people in your company, you need to hire at least one disabled person and the ratio can not less than one percent. But, there are so many companies that prefer to be fined rather than hire them. Some people are just with disabilities, but it doesn’t mean that their working abilities are worse than normal people. We need to strengthen policy implementation, making other working environment getting better.
