In my opinion, successful and admirable leaders should not only be very talented in their working fields but also be willing to provide inclusive work environments for their subordinates. In order to build up an inclusive work environment, I would suggest doing following adjustments. Firstly, treat everyone equally. Don’t judge others’ working performances depending on their genders, appearances, ages…etc. Secondly, develop an open communication platform. This platform can let everyone express their ideas and opinions in public so that people can hold brainstorming together to make projects more creative and attractive. Last but not least, solve your subordinates’ problems. If your subordinates face difficulties on their works, you can try to find out the main reasons with them and help them to overcome their weaknesses. After solving the problems, they’ll gain senses of achievement and become more motivated and efficient on their tasks. As a conclusion, it’s a win-win strategy to provide an inclusive work environment, for it could let everyone feel comfortable, and it also makes everyone easier gelled with other team members to achieve the team goals.
