In the past few weeks, I have been thinking a lot about what it means to share a meal with others. We often have a meal with different people, such as our lovely friends, family, or even the one that we barely know about. However, it is the ordinary thing that will truly happen around us in our daily life, we might not pay attention on it and ignore the happiness besides us, perhaps.

I strongly believe that everyone has the experience to share a meal with others, and so do I. In fact, as I sit down to a meal with someone I know quite well and also the one that I’m not familiar with, I’m surprised that the food on the table brings us all together, it is absolutely wonderful to see how it lightens up the mood and strengthens the bonds that we build. The food in front of us miraculously becomes a topic of our conversation, we talk about our interests and share our special experiences with each other, it explores the connection between love and care. Eating together confirms the sense of belonging and being part of a community.

Thus, how sharing a meal is about sharing a culture? We can get to know more about each other and learn about someone by sharing a meal together. Through chatting with different kind of people which are from different families or different countries, we can learn plenty of brand new things that we might never heard it before. Therefore, give yourself a chance to have a meal with others, I’m sure you can find out many incredible things which is out of your imagination.
