Why Do You Think It’s Important to Learn About Other Cultures?
This is now a globalized world. We meet people from other countries easily. In my opinion, it is crucial to learn other cultures because that is how we show respect. Sometimes there are things that you are allowed to do in your culture, but they are not permitted in others cultures. Therefore, if you do not know that, you might offend them even if you did not do it on purpose. Also, we learn about other cultures so we won’t criticize easily. Sometimes we judge based on our knowledge and habits, but if we look into the differences and the background or reasons that made others different from us, we might not accept or agree, but we will not criticize. The last point is we won’t be embarrassed. When we do not know other cultures, we might do something we think is normal but others think it’s weird. Therefore, I think learn about other cultures is important.
