Why do you think sharing a meal with others is something that all cultures do?

There is no universal language in the world. However, I think we can communicate with each other through non-verbal activities, such as sharing a meal with others. In my opinion, sharing a meal with others is a good way to communicate with people. No matter you are sharing a meal with your families, friends, or strangers. If you are having a meal with others, I think it is quite easy to start a conversation. Once you start to talk to each other, it is a chance to know more about each other. For example, my family is a traditional Chinese family, we have a rule that we can’t use cellphones when we are having our meals on the dining table. Since sometimes we only can have lunch or dinner on weekends, and we think it is really important to talk to each other after an exhausting week. Last but not least, sharing a meal is a strong connection in my family, and it brings us closer to each other. Therefore, if you want to build up a new relationship or enhance your original relationship, just try to hold a feast and share meal with people.
