Since December 2023, The Netherlands has started a cannabis-experiment that brings legally produced cannabis to selected cities around the country. If you own a coffeshop, you can now buy legal cannabis and offer to your costumers. Before the weed experiment, cannabis-shops had to buy from illegal sources, often putting themselves in dangerous situations.
As the experiment advances, the trend is to see more cannabis farms producing legal weed and more coffeshops offering government-approved buds and hash. In the midst of the implementation of the herb into the Dutch population. The government has started to invest in informing the population about the risks and offering support to people who are interested in knowing more about responsible cannabis use.
By producing harm-reduction material, The Netherlands has started a process that may open the doors to more research, and therapeutic use of cannabis. Cannabis is now government-approved in a few provinces of The Netherlands, and it paves the way to a more wholesome life supported by the wisdom of sacred plants, like cannabis.
