🚨 SCAM Warning: There have been multiple reports of Cache admins being impersonated (both Ben and myself) and sending DMs to members in this group and they are very tricky in how they impersonate us. Here are some ways you can make sure you’re talking to the real Cache team.

  • Check the pinned post in our Telegram group (t.me/cachetoken). There is a list of all official admins and if you tap their username, you will be able to see their profile. Also, we will never ask for sensitive information in a Telegram DM. You can also tap into the Cache group Info panel and see which users are admin by looking for the word ‘admin’ next to their name.
  • Ensure that you have ‘Groups in Common’ with the user you’re talking to. An impersonator will most likely not join the official Cache Telegram group because it would be pretty obvious for me, Caleb Stultz, to see “Caleb Stultz joined the group”. As you can see below, an impersonator is on the left with no groups in common and my real profile is on the right with 1 group in common (Cache). Scammers can even create usernames that appear legit (left), but in reality probably have a space after the “@gurucaleb” or some type of invisible Unicode symbol.
Ensure you have Groups in Common
  • A fake profile may also copy and paste a legit username into the bio section. If you see username text in the bio section run away and do not talk to this person! In the example below, the legit account is on the left and the fake one is on the right.

Stay safe and use these tips to ensure that you’re talking to the real Cache team.
