At March 2021, for the first time, Cactus Capital VC opened her own course — Cactus Academy. Cactus Academy takes the sharpest thinkers and doers on an exploration of the venture capital world. Through an amazing educational training, we transform students into analysts.
We don’t require our student to have any fancy titles or prefer any major over another. We love tech, value passion, dedication, and creativity. Cactus is here to make an impact, to embrace and empower change makers.
We asked Yuval Regev, a 3rd year Biotechnology Engineering student, to answer us on a simple question — why? Why did you decide to join such intense course, even though you have so many tasks on you day to day.

Beer Sheva, mid semester, work studies and so much more to do. I keep thinking about how precious my time is and how to complete it all . But sometimes in life you are presented with an opportunity.
An opportunity is like a ball you could stare at and kick. You’re so busy anyway, it can wait. But you could also stop for a moment, understand the goal, and get into the right mood.
In the past half year I’ve participated in an analyst course named Cactus Academy, together with 30 of my fellow students, great people who became even better during the course. This course was the perfect balance of business and innovation, analytical thinking and the will to better know and understand our Startup Nation.

At Cactus Academy, we have that every week while we host powerful men and women from the industry. After participating in the course, following the course, I’ve got some insights to do it right and to be part of the successful 10%.
