After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill — the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill — you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I’m offering is the truth.

I’ll suggest you continue and read this article before taking the blue pill. If you’re still not convinced, I’ll give you the glass of water.

If you ended up here I assume that you are a bit skeptic about which startups students can create and what is their potential in the market.

In the case of these entrepreneurs, they also started very early — while they were still students!

In this list are the top 10 most valuable startups founded by students, including the year each was founded, the total value of the enterprise, revenue, and market cap.

At the top of the list, of course, is a little company called Microsoft, founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen in 1975 while they were still students at Harvard University. Another example is Matt Mullenweg, he was a student at Houston University when he created WordPress.

The most astonishing part is the number of tech companies these young and inspiring students created.

Have you heard about Sergey Brin and Larry Page? the search engine they build (that would become Google later on) was born of their musings while studying together at Stanford.
