Cafe Bazaar’s Technical and Business Operations Remain Unaffected by the Ongoing Global Health Situation
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has made a lot of international headlines over the past few months. The fact that the virus would have negative consequences for the global economy and affect business operations is an unfortunate but expected side effect of our more connected and interlocked world. It is natural to look at news headlines these days with concern. However, we at Cafe Bazaar would like to assure all of our users and business partners in Iran and around the globe that our services and business operations continue to function normally and have not been affected by the ongoing global health issues.
While our Tehran headquarters are still open, special cleanliness and disinfectant protocols are now in place and our staff have been given the option of working from home since February 22nd as a means of protecting their health. Our extremely capable technical and engineering staff are more than capable of making sure that the company’s extensive technical operations run smoothly and that our app store continues to serve our 40 million users without issue. All of our over 160,000 applications and games continue to be available with all of their features for our users to enjoy.
Cafe Bazaar uses a high-output and technology-assisted management system, pioneered at Intel and perfected at Google, that de-emphasises physical presence at the office in favor of teams and staff having autonomy and initiative. This means that under normal circumstances many members of our team have the prerogative to spend a limited amount of time in the office attending meetings and coordinating with colleagues while getting much of their work done from other places of their choosing. While some minor delays in day-to-day business activity may not be entirely avoidable, our partners and users can have the utmost confidence that Cafe Bazaar’s operations will not be materially affected by the current global health situation. We wish everyone good health and hope this unfortunate issue passes quickly.
