CAI announces partnership with Yeti Finance to enable leverage
The partnership
Colony and Phuture are delighted to announce an official partnership with Yeti Finance, to allow users to borrow using CAI, the Colony Avalanche Index, as collateral. This integration will take place after CAI’s launch and once the index token meets Yeti Finance’s integration requirements.
The Yeti Finance protocol allows users to borrow up to 11x against LP tokens, staked assets, and base assets, plus 21x on yield-bearing stablecoins. Yeti Finance is helping expand the Avalanche lending landscape, letting users borrow against previously un-collateralizable assets.
Together, CAI and Yeti Finance are bringing the best of Avalanche lending solutions to investors like you!
How it will work?
Needless to say, the integration of CAI onto the Yeti Finance protocol will enhance the index’s utility, allowing investors to deposit $CAI, borrow against it and leverage.
Thanks to this integration, CAI investors will be able to unlock deep liquidity, borrow at sound collateral ratios while continuing to earn yield rewards generated from CAI.
When will investors be able to utilize CAI on Yeti Finance?
The integration of CAI onto the Yeti Finance platform will take place after CAI’s launch, once the index secures a deep liquidity position amongst other strategic requirements:
- $5–10M liquidity for the asset itself, or atomic redeem-ability for an asset with $5–10M liquidity (such as for qiTokens).
- Strong community-agreed trust, sourced from audits and amount of time the token has been live.
- Reliable price oracle that is unable to be manipulated.
