$CAI IS NOW LISTED AS COLLATERAL ON DELTAPRIME
The partnership
Colony Lab and Phuture are thrilled to announce an official partnership with DeltaPrime, integrating $CAI (Colony Avalanche Index) into DeltaPrime’s undercollateralized borrowing platform as a collateral asset.
DeltaPrime has quickly become a favorite among Avalanche DeFi enthusiasts since its inception. As Avalanche’s pioneering trustless, undercollateralized borrowing protocol, DeltaPrime allows users to deposit for example $100 in one asset and borrow 0-$500 against that deposit in other (or the same) assets. Users can then utilize both collateral and borrowed funds to craft their personal DeFi portfolio, leveraging a diverse array of strategies unlocked by the platform.
The inclusion of $CAI, the benchmark Index of Avalanche, allows Avalanche users to borrow against a basket of top blue-chips in the Avalanche ecosystem. This introduces new and unique investing strategies on Avalanche, offering advantages such as diversification and improved risk management for borrowers. By reducing their risk exposure compared to relying solely on individual assets, users can access enhanced opportunities for growth and stability in their investments.
How can $CAI be utilized on DeltaPrime?
- Unlocking Borrowing Capabilities on Diverse Assets: Holders can collateralize $CAI to borrow up to 5x the value of their collateral in $USDC, $AVAX, $BTC, $ETH, and / or $USDT.
- Collateral Utility in DeFi Activities: $CAI can serve as collateral to access borrowing options and participate in a myriad of DeFi strategies and activities. These include leveraged long and short positions on assets, liquidity pools provision, and participation in diverse farming strategies.
- Unlocking 5x Leveraged Exposure on Avalanche’s Top Assets Index: Users can deposit $CAI as collateral and borrow assets like AVAX or USDC up to 5 times the value of their collateral. By swapping borrowed assets back to $CAI, users can effectively leverage the entire basket, which currently includes $AVAX, $sAVAX, $JOE, $QI, $XAVA. This innovative approach presents a unique leverage opportunity to maximize exposure to the growth of the Avalanche ecosystem, offering enhanced potential for investors.
- Betting on $CAI: Instead of increasing your $CAI exposure, you can use this integration to bet on $CAI compared to another asset. Not sure about the direction of the market, but sure that $CAI will outperform $BTC? Mint $CAI with borrowed $BTC. This can be done with any borrowable asset, and benefits from $CAI outperforming said borrowed asset, regardless of the direction of the assets.
