Dear Reader,

We must say, it’s been really hot in Berlin this summer 🔥 Actually, so hot that a map of Berlin’s air-conditioned locations️ has been a life-saver. So, let’s stay cool ❄️ and enjoy the rest of the season!

With the summer coming to an end, the job search season is starting. And we’ve got a few questions for you:

  • 🔍 How was your last job interview?
  • 🔍 How many times did recruiters contact you last month
  • 🔍 What do you find the most frustrating in the application process?

Tell us about your experience applying for a job in Berlin in our Survey.

Fill out our Survey

Share your pains and joys with us, and you’ll have a chance to win a Google Home or Amazon Echo. But what’s even more important, you will help us make recruitment in Berlin better.

Now, the latest news from us and around us.

What’s up in Berlin?

For us, the best highlight of the summer was when our London Team came over to Berlin for a few days. We met, trained, and discussed how we can fix recruitment. Sweet memories from June 😍

Last month, our Lily took part in a panel organised by Women Techmakers Berlin. It was a live conversation about gaining confidence and taking risks when applying for a job in Berlin. We wrote a summary of the key Qs and As.

If you are interested in WTM Berlin’s upcoming events and workshops, check out their meetup page.

How about some more tech events this fall?

Landing a job

Most of the times, you don’t really need to match the job description 100% to qualify for the position. Read about how to read job ads, build up your confidence, plus lots of other useful tips in the above-mentioned article “The missing 40% when applying for a new job”.

Now, you’ve made up your mind to apply for that shiny new job. Once you start crafting a CV, the following questions might come up:

  • What should a perfect CV look like?
  • How long should it be?
  • What mistakes should I avoid in my CV?

We’ve put some thoughts onto paper and backed them up with a downloadable template. Read more about the does and don’ts of CVs in our new Medium post.
