Caixa Capital To Host International Venture Club Event In Portugal
The Smart Capital 2016 event to be held in Cascais, Portugal, 22–23 September 2016, will bring together over 100 senior investors from around the world to discuss key issues in the venture capital industry.
This high-level meeting is an initiative of the International Venture Club (IVC) to promote collaboration among investors. The main topics of the meeting will include European venture capital in the global framework, exit potential for investments, collaboration between corporate and independent investors, as well as the effect of European political developments on innovation and entrepreneurship. Caixa Capital is a partner and host of the event.
The IVC has been running mission critical events for Europe’s tech investor community for many years. Smart Capital brings all that experience and insight to a summit meeting of independent and corporate venture capital investors.
The IVC was formed in 2011 as a joint initiative of 17 independent, corporate and institutional investors, to enable deeper collaboration across investments stages, domains, technologies and borders. At its core, the IVC facilitates inter-investor relationship building, co-investments, and identifying investment opportunities. Initiated by active investors and governed by an elected Council, the IVC today has 65 members across a variety of sectors and is managed by Tech Tour.
