Hi, everyone! 😃

I was really happy to be with you because this was the first grand event we’ve ever released since 2016 — the year our founder Trantor founded CakeResume.

I wanted to say thank you for attending the 2020 Tech Career Fair given what’s happening in the market recently. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we are relatively safe in Taiwan. Thanks to everyone’s courage, we were able to be with everybody here.

There are many things surround us that keep preventing us from envisioning the world in which together we want to live — Anyone working on a big new plan will get called crazy, because those who call you crazy they don’t even want to take the initiative. Anyone taking initiative will get criticized for not being fully prepared, even though there’s no one who is able to know everything upfront.

But if we have the courage to get started, everything is possible.

The Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had some wonderful words about courage. I’d like to quote him.

A change in the world that seems so clear you’re sure someone else will do it. But they won’t. You will.

— Mark Zuckerberg Harvard Commencement Speech 2017.

We took the courage and the initiative two months ago with just an idea of bringing together everyone in tech. Extremely appreciated for everyone lighting up the dark time.

In the year of reset, let’s carry on with courage.

Thanks again.

See you next year!

— The CakeResume Team.
