What’s next for CakeResume in 2020?
There’s no doubt that 2019 has been one of the biggest years in CakeResume’s history — from releasing the technical recruiting service JobEspresso that enables companies hiring technical highly-skilled techies from Asia, to launching diverse Talent Connect events for designers, engineers, and everyone who have a deep passion for technology.
Ending 2019 as a child of 3
CakeResume was born in 2016. At the beginning, it’s all started by solving our own problems — we wanted to aggregate portfolio, profiles and all our digital footprints to identify and present ourselves at once for applying for jobs/programs, and telling the world who we are. That’s the born of CakeResume — an online multimedia resume software that helps you quickly build a multimedia profile. You can either view it online or download PDF.
Along the way, we released a Job Search portal and published how-to articles to help more people around us find a job they deeply love. But we are just getting started. We are a child of 3 who has learned how to run, how to jump and how to stretch our body. Now, we start to learn to explore the world by asking more questions to the world and experiencing more new things.
Before we show you a sneak peek at our upcoming events in 2020, we thought we’d reflect on this year’s highlights.
1. Resume Builder and Job Search Portal updates
There are plenty of updates for our Online Multimedia Resume Builder and Job Search Portal that should add up to a better all-round experience. Here are some important updates in 2019:

In 2020, we’ll kick off the year with some important improvements to our classic Resume Builder based on your feedback.
2. A big year for the CakeResume Job Search Portal
CakeResume is the largest tech and digital talent pool in Taiwan, and has become an essential platform that leading/innovative companies are attracting for diverse talent on, especially for multinational employers who are looking for talent with competent english level from Taiwan. We can expect more top-notch companies to come on next year.
3. First year for the CakeResume Community
In 2019, we hosted 9 Talent Connect events and the first Taipei Dribbble Meetup for creatives and IT professionals, and sponsored iPlayground — the largest iOS/Mac developer conference in Taiwan. Next year, we are going to do more!
We are excited to announce our CakeResume Ambassador Gareth will be dedicated to the CakeResume Community. Gareth is being helpful for mobile developers and technical recruiters by writing informative articles to share his insights of the next generation talent movement, and has been helping many talented developers find a job they love.
Gareth will continue to amaze us with his dedication, commitment and support to hosting fantastic events that bring diverse talent communities together in 2020.
