See What You Missed at the 2023 California Water Data Summit
“I came from Belgium just for this conference to learn how we can do this in other places.”
And that’s why a data savvy and curious consulting firm in Belgium ended up at the California Data Collaborative’s 8th Annual California Water Data Summit at Stanford University, the premiere place to connect and learn about innovative ways to collect, contextualize, and share data for a variety of water management needs.
With leading experts from around the globe and diverse industries, California Data Collaborative (CaDC) started new discussions and laid the groundwork for actionable ideas and collaborations at our annual conference, the California Water Data Summit.
Summit topics included insights into how General Managers and CEOs cultivate the talent of the future, policies and uses of ArtificialArticial IntelligenceI, models for predicting snow melt that becomes drinking water, using open source data to find places to recharge water for agriculture, reporting requirements for State water efficiency regulations, the need to embrace and incorporate equity so every Californian has clean, and safe drinking water as a human right.
As part of commitment to share, anyone can access the agenda and presentations by visiting the CaDC’s website.
CaDC is a small but mighty non-profit. Our members are water agencies in California who share the costs to create software, tools, and resources using their own private data and open source data to make informed decisions for resilient water management.
This shared, collective model allows members to tap into the CaDC’s team of data scientists and partners to tackle the biggest challenges facing our water resources for low cost and maximum benefit. We don’t just stop at creating tools for members. We collaborate. We share. We educate.
So, will you join our new friend from Belgium and attend next year? We hope so. Don’t miss out. Sign up for the latest news and events offered by the CaDC and be the first to hear when the 2024 Summit is announced.
