Mirela Rupic presents Her Collection for Confident Women

Fashion designer Mirela Rupic whose modern designs are inspired by elements of traditional art and fashion, has taken her childhood hobby of sketching and sewing dresses for her Barbie dolls, and made it into a career. The talented designer with her own studio in San Diego has always been passionate about the essence of fashion.

When creating her designs, she first starts with color palette and materials, decides on silhouette and shapes, add in print and pattern and finish with details. Her attention to detail and craftsmanship speak volumes about her evolving definition of fashion.

Her latest collection “Aphrodite’s Look” named after the Goddess of beauty represents the reputed beauty that captured her imagination. In her collection, Mirela Rupic portrays the goddess moving through ages, with pieces inspired by design elements from various epochs. Her fashion-forward collection includes gowns, bustiers, suits and other clothing pieces from the past, skillfully crafted to suit the needs of the modern woman. The designs embrace elements of traditional clothing and fabrics, used in new and innovative ways, combining bold colorful fabrics with collars and accessories. Mirela is just back from Los Angeles where she presented her latest collection. The collection was launched with a fun showcase, at Corinthian Club, earlier this month. The event, attended by more than 300 fashion lovers, featured all types of entertainment, including live bands, and a workshop.

The established designer, with signature bold prints and vivid colors, has received numerous awards and grants for her arresting forward-thinking designs. With years of experience under her belt, Mirela Rupici says she’s now ready to go out there as a designer for her label.
