A Case Study for “HERO U”, a framework for closing the gap between “Theory” and “Practice”.

HERO U is a new framework for knowledge heroes who want to make unique epistemic impaces. I have introduced the framework and its diagram in HERO U — A New Framework for Knowledge Heroes.

At the section 9 of the article, I distinguish three kinds of knowing: Knowing-for-all, Knowing-for-us and Knowing-for-me. This article will focus on expanding the Knowing-for-all.

The HERO U framework uses three containers to connect “theory” and “practice”: Container X (Theory), Container Y (Practice), and Container Z (Echozone). The Knowing-for-all activity is located in the Theory container. The outcome and motivation is about building, validating, maintaining, applying and spreading public knowledge. The corresponding Objective of Knowing are Meta-theory, Specific Theory and Abstract Model.

This case study aims to use the HERO U framework and the Diagram U to represent the theoretical development of Activity Theory or Cultural-historical activity theory (CHAT).
