On July 21st, 2020, IBM Cloud Developer Advocate, Faiz Hasan , Senior Developer Evangelist Vidhan Bhonsle & MEA Business Development Manager Mohamed Abdeljalil from HERE Technologies conducted a webinar titled ‘Create a mobile app to facilitate community collaboration’ which was hosted by Senior Developer Advocate Upkar Lidder from the IBM San Francisco City Team on Crowdcast.

There were a total of 54 attendees including developers and students. Mohamed kicked things off with a welcome note before and a brief of the webinar series. This was followed by a short description of the 2020 Call for Code Global Challenge by Faiz.

Faiz then went on to describe the community collaboration Call for Code starter kit. He quickly described the architecture before going over a quick demonstration of the application which connects user that can provide essential goods and services, such as food or medicine, with users that require the same goods and services.

The second section of the hands-on was conducted by Mohammed and Vidhan. Vidhan walked the audience through how to register for a HERE API Key and how to integrate the HERE APIs into an application. Mohammed continued by going over the HERE Location Suite, including the HERE Web and Native APIs, and all the features that are available to developers.

The webinar concluded with the audience Mohammed informing the audience of IBM and HERE developer resources. He also went over the schedule of upcoming webinars.
