Account verification emails.

We took action to improve security for our community.

26/07 Update:

We have restored functionality to our website. You can now withdraw, deposit, and transfer crates. We have also reopened our #trading channel in our Discord. All accounts will need to re-verify via the link in an email (please double check it is no-reply@calystral.com) if they haven’t already.

It is still extremely important that all Serrans follow the security measures previously outlined below, especially checking on https://haveibeenpwned.com/ to see if you’ve ever been leaked, changing your password to something unique, and activating Two-Factor Authentification (2FA).

We are currently un-verifying all the 60,000+ accounts on synergyofserra.com, this is the first step in reactivating services following the temporary pause on 8 July.

This is a fairly long process and some accounts have already been un-verified before others. If you have tried to log in and have been asked to verify your account via email (no-reply@calystral.com), the request to verify is genuine. It is a one-off additional security measure we are currently rolling out before we fully reactivate our functionality.

Edit: Please check to see if your email address has been leaked on https://haveibeenpwned.com/. Leaked accounts need to change their password and enable Two-Factor Authentification (2FA) immediately after verification to be secured.

For most of you, when you next try to log in, you will need to click on the link in the verification email we send you, and after that, you can log in normally.

Why is this required?

On 8 July, we announced that some of our community members’ accounts had been compromised by a hacker by means of identity theft.

We took action to improve security for our community by introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), pausing new sign-ups, disabling the thief’s Synergy of Serra account, banning the thief’s wallets and email addresses, and pausing some smart contracts.

We are now ready to restore full functionality by unpausing the smart contracts, re-enabling sign-ups, re-enabling website functionality, and restoring our #trading channel.

When Serrans log in for the first time following these changes, we will require you to verify your email address again. This is to protect Serrans that may not have seen this news and not log in for a long time as the thief would also need access to their email account.

You will need to click on the link in the email we send you, and after that, you can log in normally.

Reminder:

  • We are reporting the thief to the relevant authorities.
  • There are no known vulnerabilities in our smart contracts or on our website. None of our systems or servers have been compromised or hacked.
  • Alpha Fame has still been accumulating during the paused period.
  • Please activate 2FA, do not repeat passwords across accounts, and keep your seed phrase in a safe, physical location.
