Card Backs in Synergy of Serra.
We think customizing your trading card deck should be fun, accessible, and collectible.
FREE CARD BACKS FOR EACH FACTION
Nutty for Natives, silly about Cyborgs, mad for Mechs, or tripping over Transcendents, from your very first game of Synergy of Serra, you will be able to fly the colors of your favorite Faction with these free colored card backs.
Eventually, you will have a colored card back for each Faction in the game and be able to equip them for free. You will also see exclusive, limited edition card backs. Some of the limited edition card backs may be unlockable through achievements, some purchasable from the Alpha Fame store. Others might be dropped exclusively or made available as leaderboard prizes.
CARD BACKS AS NFTs
Some of the scarcer card backs will only be available as NFTs and so will be tradable. These free card backs featured will not be NFTs and so not tradable, but everyone will have them to customize their deck’s appearance in-game.
HOW IT WILL WORK
To do this, you will choose one card back for the whole of your suitcase before the game. Your suitcase will then be mixed with your opponent in the usual way. The cards you see in the River, Card Pool, your Hand, your Draw Pile, and your Discard Pile will all show your colored card back. However, your opponent’s Draw Pile and Discard Pile will show their card back.
Card backs will not give the owner any competitive advantage during the game. Instead, we see them as a fun way to cosmetically customize your gaming experience, and we want to make a wide variety of options available for free.
However, we also see card backs as potentially highly collectible items; could you be one of a limited amount of people to collect them all?
