SHARING IS CARING
We have now lifted the non-disclosure agreement on our game. This is a big milestone for us and should mean many more eyes on the project. We’ve been happy building in the background, but now is the time to step forward, stand up, and be counted.
This means that anyone can share images, gifs, or video clips of the prototype game. Importantly, content creators can create as much content as they want. We’re looking forward to seeing all the live streams, videos, and much more over the next few months.
THE PROTOTYPE
It feels like so long since we played Synergy of Serra with our original wire-frame model of the game, from adjustments to our leveling and trashing mechanics to card changes and Faction balancing. Not only that, the prototype has never looked so good. The wire-frame model is no more.
Despite this, the current game client is still only a prototype. So dramatic sound effects, stunning graphics, and wild animations are reserved for the release client.
This is being developed in Unity, and with the non-disclosure agreement lifted, we hope to share the progress on the release client with you soon.
ENLISTED & INVITED
Earlier today, we finished inviting all enlisted Serrans to join us in playing our prototype game client. We’re very excited to have the prototype available to all our early supporters to play, experience, and give us feedback.
A lot of work has been put into developing the prototype game to this point, and we have received some amazing comments, ideas, and critiques on it so far. However, we need more.
Inviting more to play the Proto Alpha will allow us to gather more playing data and feedback from our community, which will further help balance and develop the gameplay and core mechanics. This information will also feed into developing the release client.
KEYS FOR ACCESS
We want to continue to grow the playing community sustainably; therefore, we have decided to use an early access key system that many games use.
From now on, anyone who signs up on the website will need a key to get access to play the prototype. The key is a code you enter on the website, and access will be granted.
There will be many opportunities to get hold of a key, though. We will be giving them away in our Discord server and on Twitter, as will our burgeoning community of content creators.
