MASSES CONVERGE ON THE COUNCIL
Rumours are spreading fast that the crates so many Serrans have funded to support the defence effort against this mysterious and ancient threat are close to being opened. The news came from sources within the Council of Six chambers itself: one senior but anonymous council worker said, “the excitement here in the building is palpable, we think we’re over 90% ready now, it’s so close”.
The public servant went on to clarify that this significant progress represents just one part of the challenge and only one of the two types of crates is this close to opening. This hasn’t stopped Serrans converging on council buildings all over Serra in a bid to try and catch the latest gossip or news snippet.
The Crate Opening Event will represent such a significant milestone in the preparations as it will allow Serrans to examine, study and interrogate some of the tools they will be using in the Arena Domes as they compete to become the Sage of Serra.
As hysteria grips some Serrans, official statements from the Council of Six have urged patience among the people saying that the preparations will be ongoing for a long time yet.
CRATES ARE SOLD OUT
Adding fuel to the anticipation is the news that the Council of Six have fulfilled all their orders for crates. There are no longer crates available to buy through official channels.
An official Council of Six statement read:
“The Council of Six is overwhelmingly proud of the first and most loyal Serrans who are supporting the planet against the alien threat. Thanks to your decisive action we know that Serra will have a fighting chance in what will be an epic struggle for our survival.”
This of course doesn’t mean that sign ups to The Grand Tournament will stop as anyone is free to join up and participate in The Grand Tournament. The more Serrans competing, the more chance we have of successfully defending the planet against this terrifying phenomenon.
BLACK MARKET CRATE TRADING
Such is the demand for the sold out crates, Serrans have been taking to dark alleys and abandoned buildings to conduct their trades. Reports came flying in almost as soon as the sell out was announced and we’ve been keeping our reporting ears to ground ever since.
It’s said that some bargains can be found as some more wheeler-dealer type Serrans, or Serrans too impatient to wait for the Arena Domes to begin their testing phase, are taking early profits or selling up completely. There are deals to be done it seems. Others reports have been received of a few angels patrolling the sketchier areas of Serra in order to keep trades safe, and they are doing it all voluntarily: I salute you kind Serrans.
This reporter, though, is certain the crates, and the Fame that comes with them, are well worth keeping, not just for any personal gains that may come with them, but to be a part of this monumental exercise in military might and the defence of our beautiful planet.
Hype over The Grand Tournament is not letting up, this paper can only imagine the levels of Fame that will be reached when it starts.
FEDERATED RESERVE EVENT — AMA
Following the success of the collaborative event in Decentraland via Polygonal Mind and Federated Reserve, the organisers arranged for an Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) event in their Discord server. Julian fielded a wide range of questions and if you’ve not listened you can catch it here.
