Heralding news from hextricts all over Serra || 1CR

The Council of the Six recently released a statement that covered various important topics such as the launch of the Grand Tournament and the opening of the crates. If you haven’t read the message yet, we encourage you to do so here.

A small but important change is also worth highlighting, a renamed event. The Council of the Six wants to better reflect how Serrans will experience this momentous milestone as the Crate Unlocking Event.

Serrans in every hextrict who have supported the Preparations by buying crates will be able to interact with a specially created interface, complete with countdowns and queueing information, from the comfort of their own home.

We know this because we have obtained a leaked but redacted document from sources inside the Council buildings. The following is what we have been able to determine so far:

A countdown timer will indicate when the depositing phase is due to start. Once deposited each crate will hold a position in a queue. A second timer will count down to when the deposited crates will start to unlock. Crates in the queue will unlock in order. Once unlocked the owner will be able to open them. Once this unlocking phase is complete, Serrans will be able to open crates without having to deposit them first.

There was no date on this document, so we do not know how current this information is, but we at The Serra Chronicle are confident that the Crate Unlocking Event will look similar to this.

As the Crate Unlocking Event draws near, the Council of the Six has started to unveil a selection of the tools, weapons, and troops that will be available to competitors in the Grand Tournament.

Keep an eye on the #card-reveal channel in our Discord server for examples of the options that will be at your disposal during battles.

Last month, Julian took the time to go over some of the team’s history, reiterate this project’s vision and give some thoughts on a potential future of gaming. Here is an excerpt:

“Serrans are zealots who love being a part of the community, a new world. Though Serrans may generously earn playing the game they love, they aren’t doing it to earn in the first place. Instead, they are gamers who love the game because it teaches them to think out of the box, challenges them, and overall creates an enjoyable experience. Serrans are playing because they genuinely enjoy it and believe in the bigger overall vision.”

How the cards will flow in Synergy of Serra.

Serrans are eager to experience the Grand Tournament’s atmosphere and see if they have what it takes to become the Sage of Serra. A recent briefing document produced by officials at the Council of the Six presents an overview of how battles will work.

Introducing the DTCG discusses the principal elements of battle that Serrans will need to know. There are plans for further similar publications, an official spokesperson said:

“We understand that it is difficult to imagine exactly how the Grand Tournament battles inside the Arena Domes will work without any demonstrations, so we will continue to produce informative articles that drill down into different aspects of battlecraft until we are ready to invite spectators to an exhibition.”

Bagni Mask on a Decentraland avatar.

Bagni the Triggered has quickly become a high profile figure on Serra as many rate his chances in the Grand Tournament.

Adulation is so much that Serrans can now put on a Bagni mask and say “hello” to other Bagnis in the metaverse.

At first, there will be just 200 masks available; the lucky Serrans will be receiving them soon. But we know there are another 700 masks that will be given away for free.
