Christian Foster, a leading technology marketer with deep experience creating brand and marketing strategies that help businesses grow, has joined govtech leader CSDC as vice president of Marketing. He’ll lead the company’s brand and marketing efforts to help governments turn to CSDC for enterprise-level, flexible, affordable and scalable govtech solutions to help manage growth and empower their citizens to thrive.

“We are pursuing a strategy of enabling governments of any size to use our powerful and flexible software to compete for and manage growth. Establishing a brand and marketing strategy that introduces that technology to governments is critical to achieving our goals. We’re thrilled to have Christian join and bring his extensive background in leading marketing efforts for leading, high-growth technology companies so that we connect with many more government customers,” said Erin Mulligan Nelson, CEO of CSDC.

Foster joins CSDC from Rackspace where he was senior director of Private Cloud Marketing. In his four-year tenure with Rackspace, his team helped the business grow from $6M to more than $60M, and increase customer count by 10x. Before Rackspace, Foster held several leadership positions at Dell, most recently as director of online programs, where he was responsible for launching the company’s upgraded e-commerce platform in 175 countries. He also served as director of demand generation campaigns in support of Dell’s large enterprise business where in one year his team generated over $400M in sales pipeline. He is a native Austinite and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baylor University.

CSDC recently introduced Amanda Editions software, which makes the company’s Amanda platform available to governments of all sizes with the flexibility of subscription pricing, on-premise or cloud hosting options, and solutions packages that can help accelerate implementation.
