The Future of GovTech Is Very Bright
It’s been a busy few weeks in the GovTech space. Today we add our own news to the mix — with the official announcement that I’m joining as CEO and Brian Thomson has come on board as our CFO.
My news won’t be a surprise as I had the pleasure of meeting many CSDC customers and partners at AmandaCon last month.
I’m thrilled that Brian has come on board. He has spent his career leading finance strategy in high-growth environments and we’ll benefit greatly from that expertise.
It’s an incredibly interesting and exciting time in govtech — which is exactly why we both joined.
There’s going to be a revolution in technology available to governments that will enable not only more efficiency but also better engagement with their citizens.
Governments have always had carefully invest limited IT budget dollars — and the pressure is on as governments try to do more — and be even more efficient. They need enterprise-level technology that corporations have ready access to. That’s exactly the next-generation technology we’re going to build for our customers.
Meanwhile — consumers today interact with friends, services, retail, entertainment and more in seamless, intuitive ways using web and mobile. And they expect to be able to do the same with their governments. That same next-generation technology we are building will enable just that type of engagement.
We are going to provide our customers the very best technology products, services and solutions — and build an ecosystem where governments can engage with each other and co-innovate. Building such an open-source approach is something we’re incredibly excited about.
If you want to learn more about today’s announcement you can see our news online and read more about our executive team including me and Brian on our site.
There’s a bright future for the govtech industry — and the CSDC team is already working on bringing the next generation of technology to our customers and partners. We can’t wait to build that bright future together.
