The benefits of remote monitoring and alerts

In the past year many industries necessarily transitioned to remote work due to COVID-19 lockdowns. Calyx’s remote sensing platform makes it possible for management and technical support to monitor farms without having to step onto the premises and risk getting infected. But managing farms with our tech extends beyond worker health and safety — it allows you to manage broiler house performance 24/7, quickly digest data insights, and take action early on.

Accessing live and historical data on the Calyx web app

Accessing real-time data from Calyx ammonia sensors is incredibly easy. Upon receiving and installing devices in the broiler house(s) or premises, login to dashboard.calyxtechs.com to register the sensors by entering the serial numbers and device name.

Login to the web app from any desktop browser
Web app also accessible from mobile browsers

From the browser, you may adjust the date range and print the charts. Saved data can be downloaded and viewed from the archives section. If there are any issues or questions, you may reach out using the support form, Calyx will respond timely to troubleshoot. The web app also works on any mobile browser.

Beyond 24/7 real time data, stay informed with alerts

In addition to the web app, Calyx offers an alert feature on the messaging platform of your choice (Line, WhatsApp, WeChat). As you set up this feature, it is possible to customize upper and lower limits or turn off notifications if preferred. When ammonia levels reach the threshold, you will receive a notification.

Seamless operations with the Calyx Cloud

We are developing predictive models so that farmers can get notifications of possible symptoms before they happen. Currently, flock performance data (incl feed conversion ratio, FCR) and other micro environment data (temperature, humidity) needs to be manually input for analysis. Our machine learning algorithms will peer through historical data to identify recurring patterns and apply our AI models to predict outcomes. The goal is to utilize the Calyx Cloud to auto-calculate these esoteric values and make them readily available and easy to interpret by users via Calyx Connect. These proprietary features will enable farmers to optimize their flock performance seamlessly.

Additionally, we are working to integrate our hardware with heating, ventilation and irrigation systems so that equipment can be automatically controlled upon receiving alerts or predictions. Farmers can run their systems with peace of mind, letting the system control the equipment and facilities, or taking over remotely.

Our solutions are not limited to ammonia sensing and the agricultural industry. We can detect a variety of gasses and can tailor solutions to suit specific business and industry needs.
