Calyx Founder Ray Chiu Pitches at SparkLabs Demoday in Taipei
Startup founders do a lot of pitches. Most of the action in the early stages happens behind closed doors with investors and customers, so as we come out of stealth mode, we’re excited to be able to share more with you! We know nothing beats hearing a company pitch from a founder directly, so we were thrilled when our Co-founder and CEO Ray Chiu was invited by SparkLabs to pitch in Taipei.
This event was the second for SparkLabs in Taipei and attracted over 700 founders, investors and technologists. Ray was added to the lineup just a week before the event, and wowed the audience by sharing the vision for our highly durable, highly specific, and highly sensitive technology. SparkLabs is one of the premiere Accelerators in Asia, founded by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs. They host two demo days a year in Taipei, and many other events around the world.
One of our advisors introduced us to the founders of SparkLabs Korea back in 2016. We quickly identified synergies in our shared hope for the future. Shortly after meeting, SparkLabs Korea asked us to join their IoT program and invested in Calyx. Ray previously pitched alongside their eighth batch, before taking the stage in Taipei.
