New Functionalities. Release V1.17 e V1.18
New “Community profile” and “how to earn the coin” page, update shop API, community contacts, crop images, and sharing preview
These releases bring us great joy because, in addition to learning, they bring new pages and resources, as well as being an initial step towards improving the store we talked about in Release V1.16.
Release V1.17 | New Pages ✨
This release brings the new “Community Profile” page and the new “How to Earn Coin” page, which we discussed in the News Breakout tutorial.
New community profile 💇
Now the community has a page to call its own, with key data and information about it.
We’ve reworked the community page with updated readability, information display, and a brand new cover image. The administrator, if he prefers, can change this cover and update it with an image that has more of the community face.
We removed objectives from the community profile and created a page just for them. Users can now claim an action on a dedicated page for that.
How to earn 🪢
To compensate for the changes we made to the community page, we now have a new page: “How to Win”. This is the first version, so feedback will be greatly appreciated so that the improvements keep happening.
This page works great on the mobile, with a side scroll to access each action.
Both the “How to Earn” page and the “About Community” page are accessible from the Dashboard.
New empty state for the store 🛍️
A slight improvement to the store!
If there are no offers in the community store yet, your members will see new art. In the scenario where only the person doesn’t have an offer in the store, they also see a new illustration inviting them to create their offer.
Release V1.18 | New features ✨
Update to our Shop API 🛍️
As we said in Release V1.16 (see also on Github) that we would continue to improve the store, this is, without a doubt, another step towards achieving this goal.
In this release, we’ve added a new and faster API will allow us to move much faster in the subsequent releases as we create some new complex features for our shop users.
For now, the most noticeable changes are the speed at which products update and are created and the ability to add and view multiple images on the product.
Community Contacts ☎️
After we’ve revamped our footer on version V1.16 (see also on Github), we are now adding an improved way for community admins to add their contact information, which can be helpful for support and transparency to the community
You can access it by going to the settings page (⚙️icon) and “Support contacts”. Here is how it looks:
The cool part is that you can now choose how it will be displayed. So if your community has multiple WhatsApp groups such as “Community Group” and “Support contact”, or even if you want to add a link like “Discord server invite”, you can do so as you wish.
You can find the “Contact Support” option in Footer or can see it directly from the community page:
Crop images ✂️ 🖼️
Now, on your profile, you can choose to crop your image to better display a certain part of the picture and further enhance the visibility of your profile picture!
Sharing preview
We’ve also updated how our links are shown when shared on apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Slack, etc.
Now when you share the link, we will allow the app to give you a preview. It currently works for products, profiles, and community.
