Support Cambiatus to develop better tools for the governance of their communities. With the funds raised, we will continue to develop the Roles and Permissions functionality, created from the pain of communities like Muda and Verdes, who suffered from the use of fake accounts last year.
The roles and permissions functionality allows Cambiatus members to be classified based on the roles they play in the community (admin, initiator, contributor, old member, new member, etc.) and, based on the role classification, we can also give greater permissions to more trusted members of the network. This feature will be open-source, and any other dapp on the EOS network will be able to use it.
This project has been approved and is live at Pomelo, an open-source crowdfunding platform that multiplies your contributions, allowing you to support projects you love as long as they use the EOS.IO blockchain and benefit public interests, as is our case. You can contribute from 1 EOS! Every EOS donated counts as Pomelo uses a quadratic function to match donations with ENF (EOS Network Foundation) funds. Cambiatus is an open source platform that facilitates and enables communities seeking financial resilience to create their own complementary currencies and Collaborative Businesses (DAOs) using blockchain technology.
We have been operating since 2018 and currently have five active communities worldwide, in Brazil, Costa Rica, and Ethiopia, with an approximate total of over 8200 members. In these communities, various actions with a positive social, economic and environmental impact on the planet are carried out, where many families, people, and businesses have benefited, especially in times of crisis.
This is possible thanks to Cambiatus’ platform, where community members can earn social coins and trade. This webapp was developed by the Cambiatus team to make it light enough so that it is possible to guarantee good performance even in situations of scarce or limited internet. With a lot of work, we have the result of a webapp with straightforward and light navigation, which facilitates its usability, being accessible to everyone with a cell phone, laptop, or tablet with an internet connection.
Not only that, the simple fact that we are an open source platform means that anyone can contribute the Cambiatus code, copy it and replicate it elsewhere, use it as a basis for studying, developing other software, and other infinite options, allowing the development of knowledge on top of this methodology of co-creation of communities and exchanges of social and complementary currencies.
