A 500 person survey on the future of sex and intimacy, presented in a blend of art, science and personal discovery.

When we started analyzing the 500 responses to the annual camybo intimacy survey, we realized one thing is true across all ages, genders, and sexual orientations: we are all incredibly unique, particularly when it comes to our sexuality, but many of us share the same struggles, hopes, and dreams.

There were two questions from our survey that prompted very personal answers from our respondents. These were “What do you not like about your body?” and “What aspects of your sexuality are you curious to explore?”

Throughout the coming weeks, we will explore the unique answers to those questions, placed in the context of the overall survey results and the conversations we have with our collaborators, story contributors, event attendees, and friends. Our aim is to take you on a journey that is equal parts art, science and personal discovery.

For this series we teamed up with artist and superhero, Virginia Alonso Navarro, who has a unique gift of exploring vulnerable topics in a supremely relatable fashion. Together we’ll be publishing a new insight every week — starting tomorrow.

To kick this cambyo insights series off, we’ll share a paradox that we uncovered from our survey.

70% of respondents said they need a judgement-free environment in order to feel safe and comfortable enough to explore sexually, yet, 65% of respondents had at least one thing that they criticized about themselves and their bodies.

With this series we want to inspire reflection on how the disconnect between our lack of self-acceptance and the need to feel accepted by others shapes the view of ourselves and our intimate lives.

We look forward to sharing the results with you!
