Vermont senator Bernie Sanders will defeat former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Tuesday’s Wisconsin Democratic primary, while Texas senator Ted Cruz will add the state to his list of recent wins in a blow to GOP rival and New York billionaire Donald Trump, according to network projections.

Sanders’ victory is his sixth in the last seven primaries and caucuses, and is expected to give him significant momentum in the lead-up to the crucial New York primary.

Meanwhile, Cruz’s victory increases Trump’s chances of heading to the Republican convention in Cleveland, Ohio in June short of the 1,237 necessary delegates, sparking a contested convention. Cruz enjoyed endorsements from a large part of Wisconsin’s Republican establishment, notably the state’s governor and former presidential candidate Scott Walker.

Both Cruz and Sanders led in polls shortly before the primaries.
