Today was the final day of our 2023 Olympics, White Switzerland and Blue Wales continued to fight for the title of Olympics Champion.
We had a jam packed day for both teams, as today was our IHC Relay day…
In the IHC Relay, every team member was assigned a challenge. All races began at Flagpole and ended at Lake Soccer. Some of the tasks included pushing a volleyball with a broom around a baseball diamond, getting covered with towels and having to find your way out, re-lacing a shoe, eating a cracker while singing the IHC birthday song, making a cheerio bracelet and more!
The Relay is the definition of organized chaos, in the most amazing way possible! Campers and Staff have so much fun cheering on their teams, as well as taking part in the most random challenges! Our media team are sprinting from base to base, capturing all the action, its such an amazing, encouraging atmosphere throughout the entire camp!
Once each relay finish their challenge, they made their way to Lake Soccer so we could all watch the final team run in together, it was so much fun!
In the Afternoon, all campers from both White Switzerland and Blue Wales completed their broad jumping competition. They also made time to have a final practice for the pageant later that evening.
The evening ceremony looked a little different this year, but the rain will never stop us from having a good time here at IHC, so we moved into the Tennis Centre, ready for the pageant to begin.
Blue Wales started us off with their Skit about a Blue Whale at IHC, and the disappearance of The Canteen.
Then it was the White Switzerlands turn, joking about adapting the Swiss way of life here at IHC!
With some hilarious impressions of our staff, both teams performed a great skit, congratulations to the CITs for their creativity!
Then it was time for some tear-jerking Alma Maters, these are always so emotional, as the CITs write about their favorite memories from camp and how much importance their time at IHC holds.
It was beautiful!
