Camp IHC Toy Drive — The Gift of Giving Back.

So we’re a little late on posting this article but the important thing is we got round to it!
As you know, the holiday season looked a little different this year. Once again we were kept apart during a time that celebrates coming together. Our Camp IHC full time team even celebrated virtually this year as we couldn’t be together in person. Despite not being together physically, we started to think of what we can do to make even the smallest difference during this challenging time across the world.
As we continued to push our IHC Cares initiative, our team decided to do an IHC Toy Drive with Cohen’s Children’s Hospital — Cohen Children’s Medical Center are dedicated to providing the very best care to meet the special needs of children. They have done an amazing job to create a warm and bright environment that allows kids to just be kids. We were inspired by who they are and what they do.
We spoke to the hospital and following that call we set up an online Wish list with toys and items that the hospital was in need of. We felt, if we could just put a smile on one child’s face, we would have made a difference during a difficult time.
As always, the incredible IHC community and beyond got involved! Within minutes we were flooded with emails of toys being purchased. It was extraordinary! The notifications did not slow down. Within two weeks we received over 125 donations! Hundreds of toys!
When it was time to drop off the toys, we had so many we were not sure if it would fit in one car! That was a good problem to have!

At IHC we always talk about the importance of giving back, it’s in our ethos and the last year has given us more opportunities than ever before to do this.
We are so thankful for everyone that took part in the IHC Toy Drive and we want you to know that you made a difference, you helped put a smile on a child’s face and there are few things in life more important than that!
