“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney
This weekend we had our second annual Disney Day event at IHC. After a morning packed full of regular activities the IHC Disney Park opened for an afternoon of magic and adventure.
A quick stop at the flagpole, or should I say ‘Disney Springs Lodge’ (yes we go completely overboard on Disney Day!) for campers to pick up their tour guides and fast pass selections.
And then, like that, everyone was off to their first park location! No time to waste on Disney Day!
Throughout the day, campers completed various tasks, relays, and challenges to earn ‘Disney Dollars.’ At the end of the day, ‘Disney Dollars’ were then cashed in for some incredible bunk prizes. Some of the options included an ice cream party, extra canteen, a movie in the bunk, and so much more!
At Ariel’s Grotto, there were several under the sea themed activities. During ‘Whosits or Whatzits Galore’ campers were tasked with finding cool, human thingamabobs (spoons) to add to Ariel’s collection. Then at ‘Ursula’s Cauldron’ different bunks competed to race through the great, wide ocean to save Ariel’s voice. Whoever came in 1st was awarded a whopping 10 Disney Dollars! Afterwards, Hill Camp and the Village enjoyed a wacky, splashy pool party!
Next, Project Adventure was transformed into the Avengers Campus. Here, the task was to win back the infinity stones, rumor has it that if you collect all six infinity stones then Olympics will officially break out. Then, at Third Hill, each bunk ran through rainbows in The Magic of the Color Run. Better yet, right before the run began, the sun peaked out. Maybe it was a little Disney Magic? This colorful race awarded another 10 Disney Dollars!
P.S. Here’s some bonus content for reading this far... 5 Disney Jokes to make you giggle.

Lightning McQueen would approve!
Toy Story land came to life with campers playing cornhole, ring toss, and more to try win even more Disney Dollars — to infinity and beyond!
To top things off, we watched the ‘Live Your Happily Ever After’ show. This grand production included a combination dancing, and singing and acting and featured many of our staff members! What a performance. Photos and videos don’t hold a candle to watching it in person. A big thank you to our very own Joey Program and everyone else who made this show happen. It was extraordinary!
What a spectacular day. We hope you enjoyed your day at IHC and we hope to see you back real soon!
