Its Carnival day!!
Camp IHC’s Carnival day is a much-awaited event that turns campers and counselors into big kids, ready to embrace a day of pure joy and excitement. With inflatables, games, and delicious treats, there’s something for everyone to get involved in and simply have a blast!
Our CIT’s have been working hard this past couple of days to make everything perfect, vowing to show IHC the best carnival they have seen to date!
The day kicked off with a flood of campers running to Hill Soccer. Massive inflatables awaited them and the campers couldn’t contain their enthusiasm as they jumped onto the water slides, sliding down with so much speed it was almost as if they were flying through the air.
After a few thrilling water rides, it was time to move to the sports section. Here, campers had the opportunity to showcase their skills, attempting to kick soccer balls for points on an inflatable dart board, testing their accuracy in basketball toss, trying their luck in baseball throws, and even taking on the dunk tank! Unfortunately for our counselors, who were victims to the dunk tank, the kids seemed to have great aim!
Outside the sports complex, we had the IHC Derby, where inflatable horses were ready for racing. Laughter echoed across the field as campers and counselors raced against each other, with participants sometimes collapsing on the ground from uncontrollable laughter. The cheers and screams erupted whenever a camper managed to outrace a counselor.
Moving on, the carnival games awaited in the garden, and campers eagerly ran from one stall to another, aiming to win as many prizes as possible. The Can toss, Roll up challenge (which saw kids gleefully slurping up fruit roll ups), face-painting, American football toss, fortune-telling, and more offered endless amusement and entertainment.
The IHC Photo Booth allowed campers to capture memories with their best friends, adorned with their favorite props, standing proudly in front of the Carnival themed background. These cherished photos would forever remind them of this classic summer camp day.
Of course, no carnival would be complete without music, and DJ Roy set the perfect atmosphere, bringing the beats and keeping everyone in high spirits.
The highlight of the carnival was undoubtedly the incredible carnival themed treats. From fluffy cotton candy to refreshing snow cones and fresh popcorn, there was something for every camper. We appreciate the Kitchen and OPT staff’s hard work, serving us these delicious treats all day!
The CITS did an exceptional job, ensuring that every aspect of the carnival ran smoothly. Their hard work and dedication were evident in the success of the day’s festivities.
As the sun began to set on this fun-filled afternoon, the campers started looking forward to more memorable experiences to come as we get ready fro the final events of the summer. But for now we will relish in the day of laughter, friendship, and unforgettable moments that carnival brings!
