Studio IHC — A Film about Summer Songwriting
A collaboration between Studio 18 & Studio IHC.
Ever wondered what you can achieve in 6 weeks if you put your mind to it?
Our amazing music team — David Bolano and Patrick Ralphson had 6 weeks to create a professionally produced summer camp album. Not an easy feat! On top of this they also had to teach lessons and go about their camp counselor duties.
With everything going on at camp each song had about 5 hours of time attributed to it. That meant working with each camper to come up with the initial idea, create the music, help with the lyrics, fine tune the songs. Record them, mix them and produce them.
They put their heart and soul into the summer and produced a wonderful summer camp album.
Our Media team decided to film the process. The project was lead by Lauren O’Bern who captured the campers in the music studio and ask them about the music which they created.
The result was a beautiful album and a wonderful insight into the songwriting process at Camp IHC.
