At the start of the bunk line was the entrance to an epic special activity. Campers and counselors raced through a sea of foam and colorful chalk in the first ever Camp IHC Bubble Run! After acquiring some neon accessories at the flagpole, everyone ran through Boy’s Side, Girl’s Side, around the pool, and then finally up to Hill Soccer. All throughout the route were bubble and foam machines covering kids in super soapy suds! Our CITs also helped get a little color on those stark white t-shirts.
After completing the course, everyone joined an impromptu dance party to keep the fun going!
Then, shortly after, we all came together to watch a short sneak peak of the 2021 Video Yearbook. But a couple minutes in, there seemed to be something a bit unusual about the video. Is that Simone Biles? It was footage straight from the 2021 Olympics. What could this mean? The CITs knew something big was coming. The video then featured the appearances of a few special guests and celebrities alerting us that something was happening up at Wembley. Everyone raced up top to find a live band. It’s Modern Ties!
After a rocking concert, the doors to the Sports Complex opened revealing yet another surprise! OOOOOOOOH! At approximated 8:50 PM, the 2021 Camp IHC Olympics had officially broken out. This year’s teams are White Samoa and Blue Morocco! Once again our CITs huddled together to find out their final teams and positions.
Congratulations to all of our CITs. We can’t wait to see you lead an incredible Olympics. And let the games begin!
