We had a very magical morning activity for our Rookie girls this week, organized by our OAS staff, the rookie girls got all dressed up and made their way down to PA to go on a fairy hike!
On the hike we were looking out for some of the IHC fairies houses, and to our surprise, they had left us some candy to collect!
As we hiked, we were told amazing tales of the fairies that live in the IHC forest, we got to breath in all the energy from the Energy Vortex and we even got to cross the wishing bridge, which our OA staff don’t invite people to very often, so it was definitely a special treat!
The fairy hike was such an amazing experience, and the Rookie girls absolutely loved spending time in the forest. I even heard that it was Logan OPT’s favorite activity of the summer so far!!🧚 ✨
The Upper Lake girls also got a treat this week, as they had a sunset yoga session for evening activity.
Ran by Mark OPT, the girls rolled out their mats on the beach, ready for a relaxing session as the sunset over IHC!
This was an amazing evening activity, relaxing and zen, allowing the girls to wind down and take in the gorgeous sunset, it was so picturesque and peaceful!
On Tuesday we had our Carnival!
Ran by our CITs, we had a full day of fun on the inflatables, playing carnival games and eating plenty of sweet treats…

To follow the day full of fun and excitement of Carnival, we had our final Spirit Flagpole of the summer!
Our lake campers had so much fun, singing their final division songs and really getting into the spirit for the final time this summer…
Just as Spirit Flagpole was about to wrap up, and the winner was about to be announced, there was an interruption. All of a sudden, we heard the voice of the woman we all know and love, the most popular girl at IHC, Ms Taylor Swift!!!
Performing some of her hits, T-Swift came to breakout Olympics….

On Wednesday our IHC West campers and staff finally returned to camp!
They had the most amazing trip and we couldn’t wait to hear all about it, but are so glad they are back home with us for the last week of camp!

Now that we are all officially back together, the smell of olympics breakout was lingering in the air! On Thursday morning, activities were running as normal, until they weren’t!!
All morning activities were interrupted with an announcement for everyone to make their way to Third Hill…
It was officially Olympics Breakout!!

Following Olympics, we kicked of the last week of camp with one of the most talked about events of the summer, Bash and Bistro!
Bash is something our campers talk about and look forward to from the moment they get back to camp each year. Its an opportunity for them to dress up in their best outfits, and have a dance party with all their friends!
As well as seeing their counselors dress up in goofy costumes!
Following their dance party up with a some hot snacks and sweet treats in the lodge afterwards, its the end to a perfect night!
And that wraps up our last full week of Summer 2023!
