NEW YORK — Following nine months of on-campus user acquisition campaigns, timely and relevant product updates, and the release of their V3 platform in August, EdTech startup Campuswire has announced that their professor user base has grown 2.8X over the past three quarters.
Campuswire, which has been lauded by researchers as an effective tool for improving student learning outcomes and which recently drew comparisons to Slack, is a course communications tool that allows professors to easily send announcements, facilitate online Q+A sessions, and contact students via private message.
The tool’s intuitive user interface and social media-style discussion boards keep its student users engaged — the average Campuswire student user spends nearly three hours on the site per day — while weekly releases of new and updated features based on professor feedback allows the small team of recent graduates to build meaningful relationships with their professor users.
Brian Smith, Campuswire’s Head of Growth. says:
“We use feedback as a guide. Professors tell us about the problem they’re trying to solve in their courses and about the features they’d like to have, while we listen closely and then think carefully about how we can best fit a feature idea into our design and roadmap.”
The care taken by the team when considering and implementing feature suggestions is likely responsible for their growing base of professor users. While they have not publicly released user numbers, Campuswire enters the fourth fiscal quarter in use by courses across more than 110 college campuses. There are no signs which would indicate an end to their rapid growth.
Lead Product Manager Duong Nguyen adds:
“We like to say that we’re constantly building, and we invite our professors to build with us.”
