We’re back, bringing you the best information on the state of Canadian crypto this week. It’s been relatively quiet, but we’ve got a few pieces that should make it onto your radar this month.

Let’s dive right into it.

1 — Startups Struggling Through Price Drops

Bloomberg released a piece this week highlighting that there are many blockchain startups, who after receiving funding via crypto for their project, are struggling to survive after the recent price drops among all coins.

Perhaps this is natural selection at its best, as the top projects will continue to survive and thrive.

2 — Bitcoin ETF Features May Be Delayed

Hester Pierce, affectionately named “Crypto Mom” for her movements to promote cryptocurrency in the SEC, says that a Bitcoin ETF is likely coming, but it could be months or years away.

She will continue to push for these developments, but don’t hold your breath just yet!

3 — Facebook Will Build the ‘Most-Used’ Crypto Product

Bold statements coming out this week from renowned crypto thinker Anthony Pompliano this week — backing up the idea that Facebook is working on a crypto product, and once released it will be the most used crypto product available.

Given the massive size and scope of Facebook’s reach and development team, we’re excited for what may be on the horizon here.

4 — Are Crypto News Sites Allowing Freedom of Thought?

As you dive deeper into the crypto verse, available and relevant information becomes more and more important. You need to ensure you’re getting quick, honest information to make the best decisions with.

With the rise of more news sites, there may be some other intentions coming into the space. This piece emphasizes the importance of understanding the motivations behind the platforms you’re getting your news from.

And there you have it, This Week in Crypto. We’ll be back next week with more information for you, and you can always reach out to us directly if you have any questions here!
