Well, it’s Monday all over again. I started the week with coming late to work, which means our piggy bank grew fatter today. Definitely unpleasant to feed the piggy but you have to pay for your mistake. Despite that, my mood swung when I see the present of Surat. It has been quite a while since the last time we met. Today marked the first time for everyone in Ha Noi to meet Surat in person. The team was happy to have him here in town.
The day began with our brief morning meeting. This time, we had Surat on the same side of the screen with us. Talking to Surat in person made much easier to our engineer team in Ha Noi. To be honest, I was a bit envy with them as they exchanged conversation and laughed a lot during the meeting, while I was sitting at the back and doing some boring researches… but I could not understand it anyway, I just wanted to blend in the happy vibe with them.
The team reviewed a lot of tasks this morning since our Application Suite is going live with Thanh Hoa MFI. Everyone stayed focus and went through all the required assignments for today, with detail and difficulty level estimation for each along the way.
Planning lunch for the team was such a pain for Hien. She had to think of 5 different meals a week which equal to 25 each month. After some discussion with the CEO, Hien decided to create a set of menu for each month and other members can look and choose from it. This way I believe would save a lot of time for her.
Manh has been working on the presentation materials for the legal guidelines of micro-finance institutions in Vietnam. The document was presented at the end of the day to the subscription team. During mid day, Manh also joined the meeting with our company’s head of government affairs (Mrs Mai) discussing about the company and suitable strategy for the upcoming MFIs clients.
Today was also the first working for our Mobile Engineer Lead, Thang Ngo. He started to join everyone immediately as he understood the hustle to finish the upcoming Application Suite version. He finished reviewing the mobile app mockup in no time and has already started with new knowledge of Ionic.
Le’s working pace is relatively fast. He finished tasks in a timely manner since the beginning. For today, Le completed the implementation pages of guarantor information and borrower financial status in application portal. Up next, he was working on an update application and assessment form for Thanh Hoa MFI client.
Xuat, in my opinion, work hardest in the team. Even during our snack time, he did not even leave his work aside; multitasking at its finest. He has removed bugs regarding assign center action from PreAssessment screen vs “NaN” number should show something like “not available”. Xuat was left only with the task to run SMS Gateway works with our server on local.
Noi has finally figured out the solution to fix the font on Windows computer, which was a major bug from the previous week. He continued his work on putting a restriction on current customers to log into our application suite system since we are still testing the its prototype.
Our CEO were extremely happy with our new recruitment for the designer position who is believed to be very talented. We have been looking to fill in the spot in quite a while until now.
