GRAMMY AWARD WINNER MASTER VICENTE AMIGO ANNOUNCED UPCOMING CONCERT AT BRANCACCIO THEATER IN ROME, ITALY.
Considered one of the most elegant musicians of the latest generations, Vicente Amigo is currently sharing his music with audiences around the world with his tour titled Memoria de Los Sentidos.
The classic guitar notes are now synonymous to the virtuosity of Vicente Amigo, a proud Andalusian, this master musician has the talent, gift and charisma added to a very early start and the mentorship of the greatest ‘El Tomate’, ‘El Merengue’, Manolo Sanlúcar and Paco de Lucia, resulting perhaps in the most elegant Flamenco guitar player of all times.
Previously awarded with a Latin Grammy in 2001, Amigo repeats as a favorite among the recording academy’s voting members, obtaining a new nomination for the Latin Grammy Awards in the best flamenco album category with his album, “Memoria de Los Sentidos”. Vicente Amigo’s performance has been described by The New York Times as “a reach for depth in expression within ultimate precision, and sometimes frightening speed”.
“Memoria de Los Sentidos” has been presented by the producer as “an album that exudes the flamenco that the purists like, an album of the authentic origins”, including collaborations with other consecrated Flamenco artists like ‘Potito’, ‘El Pele’, Pepe de Pura, Pedro el Granaino, Miguel Poveda, Farruquito and the Grammy Award winner, Niña Pastori in a special tribute to his great mentor, Paco de Lucía.
Vicente Amigo was awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts, an award granted by the Spain’s Department of Culture to people or institutions who have excelled in the artistic field, cultural creation or have rendered notorious services in the promotion, development, diffusion of art and culture or the conservation of artistic patrimony.
On Monday, October 23, the Italian audience prepares to receive Vicente Amigo at the Brancaccio Theater, in what promises to be a concert full of pure and traditional flamenco performed with virtuosity by the hands of Master Amigo.
