Giving Tuesday: Picture a World Without Cancer

On November 29th, the Cancer Research Foundation is joining a global giving movement called #GivingTuesday. It’s a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

Our campaign’s mission is to inspire a movement to share your stories of support, survival, and strength to bring awareness in the fight against cancer. Seventy years ago, the Cancer Research Foundation’s founder, Maurice Goldblatt began his journey in fighting this terrible disease after his brother Nathan, died of cancer. We continue to make grants guided by his desire to fund tomorrow’s big discoveries in the quest to find a cure.

How do I participate in the “Picture a World without Cancer” Campaign?

Do I have to make a donation to participate in the campaign?

No. Sharing your story is helping bring awareness around finding a cure for cancer. Donating will continue to help fund early cancer scientists to pursue finding a cure. We encourage donating $7 representing our journey in funding early stage cancer scientists 7 decades ago.

What is #GivingTuesday?

Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
