Why You Shouldn’t Take Relationship Advice from Steve Harvey

We should be working on dismantling relationship propaganda not listening to people who uphold it.

Steve Harvey aims to uphold the same predatory ideas cave-men had towards romantic couplings. The male pounds on his chest to show his dominance toward his intended female prey clubs her over the head and drags her back to his love cave for a proper ravishing.

Are we women expected to swoon over being prey? I don’t think so.

It’s 2020, women are embracing their divine feminine energy more than ever, we’ve reclaimed our sexual power and we’re emboldened by our agency and autonomy.

Women mean business and we’re not just the weaker second sex sitting around waiting for a suitor to come to snatch us up while he’s out on the prowl — we do not live in a Jane Austen novel.

Those sentiments are dregs leftover from a bygone era where women had no agency, no right to vote, and no say in the shape their life would take — when women needed to find a husband to thrive.

So why are people like Steve Harvey still spewing toxic relationship propaganda? Because that asinine ideology still sells hungry women a bill of goods — as if men can be maneuvered like marionette…
