Some highlights from the mCart Demo & Dinner at Zuma NYC

The Mavatar teamed hosted the mCart Dinner & Demo for some of the leading media, technology and retail figures at Zuma NYC on Monday, January 14th during the NRF 2019 Big Show.

While dining on Zuma’s internationally acclaimed Japanese-inspired menu, the Mavatar team demoed how the mCart platform-as-a-service is revolutionizing omnichannel retail and bringing commerce into the 21st century.

In attendance were some of the most important players in retail, media, and finance, including executives from MasterCard, Toshiba, Salesforce, Circle, Coresight and more. Prominent journalists, movie producers, celebrities, tech industry veterans, and news reporters, including ABC Anchor Rita Cosby and FOX 5 Good Day New York’s Rob Shuter, also attended to learn more about the mCart omnichannel revolution.

After opening remarks by Sheela Gonsalves, Mavatar VP of Sales and former SVP of Sales at Sony Picture, CEO Susan Akbarpour gave a well-received presentation to a captivated audience about how mCart blockchain-powered marketplaces streamline the path to purchase from discovery in content to final purchase, uniting media and retail while fairly compensating all involved parties.

This is done with shop-able content created on the mCart marketplaces. “Creating shop-able content would create a big opportunity for anyone who has an asset, user base, content, brand, sponsorships,…” Susan said.

Susan also discussed how mCart is scaling influence marketing, bringing the mega influencers, like media institutions and Hollywood, and micro influencers, everyday people including friends and family, into the content monetization game.

To illustrate the power of micro influencers, Susan recounted how she convinced six of her friends to get Teslas after test driving hers. “I could have got commission for my influence on my friends!” Susan declared.

While it would be impossible to get that commission using traditional sales models, mCart makes it possible for normal people, in addition to social media influencers, brands, media companies, and more, to receive payment for their influence on sales. Susan summarized, “[mCart] is creating the future sales force of the Walmarts, Neiman Marcuses and Teslas of the world.”

Susan further explained how social media influencers and brands can create their own mCarts to make the content we already consume and love, like Hollywood Red Carpet Shows, shop-able. They just need to post mCarts in the content they’re already creating, like on social media or anywhere else a QR code or URL link can be posted.

The presentation also highlighted how mCart is partnering with Circle to mainstream the adoption of cryptocurrencies such as USDC to enable user-generated advertising.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the guests from diverse industries to mingle and network with each other as they discussed mCart’s amazing potential.

Guests also shared their feedback and the challenges they see in the current marketplace.

mCart Is Revolutionizing Omnichannel Commerce

mCart is bringing commerce into the 21st century by creating a single platform that connects retailers with content creators, like media companies and advertising agencies, to created branded marketplaces that easily direct consumers right from the content they’re already consuming to marketplaces where they can buy based on that content. Using mCart’s blockchain-backed system, the content creators and any influencers who lead to the sale instantaneously receive a commission for their role in the purchase.
