A day of work, a day of fun. The morning in class was very productive. Everyone was very focused and worked from 10am to about 1:30pm on our final projects. I was able to focus my project not just on the stigma/stereotype of a marijuana user but how it is depicted in the pop culture and how it is beginning to gain normality in society. Normalization will occur once everyone is able to accept there should not be a stigma with the label marijuana user. Just like alcohol, cannabis will be used worldwide and soon become legalized. We always go through a storm before we see the rainbow at the end.

“Marijuana is safer than alcohol.”

Field Trip Time

Visiting Mason Tvert, he helped us understand what it was what he does. I feel like the majority of people in our society would support him and his idea. I know when it was first brought to light marijuana was still a touchy subject but now a days people are more open-minded. It is true what Mason said, “Marijuana is safer than alcohol.” This is a fact people choose to reject. If we do not continue to educate and advocate for marijuana, misconceptions of the plant will continue to occur.

Snow globe from Mason’s Office.

Fun photo of the day… a marijuana leaf snow globe! I believe it is an award won by the company Mason works for: The Cannabis Business Award, won in 2018.
