Every now and then I brush up on an issue that hits a little too close to home. If you aren’t already aware, here’s why:
Marijuana laws.
Just like alcohol prohibition way back in the day, aggressive cannabis laws serve to do nothing more than allow the existence of a thriving and very illegal black market.
Instead of legitimate businesses adhering to standards and guidelines, street criminals are given the opportunity to earn immense sums of cash very quickly without being under the watchful eye of the IRS or the government.
And with absolutely no regulation of any kind, this cannabis black market is an almost perfect replica of the American Wild West.
It’s dangerous and unpredictable.
Oftentimes even murderous and tragic.
